Gazeta Krakowska Daily has reported that the Wierzchoslawice County, Matopolska Province, of Poland is looking for a Swiss fund of PLN 40 million so that they can move forward in the development of the country’s first solar plant. The move follows the pilot program that is currently in progress in Wierzchoslawice where 1,700 households have applied to have solar panels installed on their rooftops.
The photovoltaic project is planned to be built on a hill in Rudka village. It will total 8,000 solar panels and produce 1.8MW of energy, which will be sold to an electricity distributor.
